Radha Mohan is known for making largely satisfying family dramas with realistic portrayals of female characters
His Bommai is drastically different from the kind of films that he has made before.
While it takes a lot of courage to do something out of one's comfort zone,
it's equally important to make sure that the writing is sensible and effective enough to hold the viewer's attention.
This is where Bommai fails, despite having an unusual premise.
Rajkumar (SJ Suryah) is introduced to us as a teetotaller who works in a factory that produces mannequins
One of the dolls reminds him of his lost childhood friend, whom he believed to be his whole world.
He starts hallucinating at work and develops a special connection with this mannequin that has a mark on its face
He thinks it's a real person (Priya Bhavani Shankar) and falls head over heels in love with it
Trouble begins when the owner of the factory exports the doll to one of the showrooms in the city.
