Harry Brook, representing England in the ODI World Cup 2023 in India, has openly addressed his series of underwhelming performances.
Thus far, Brook has managed scores of 25 and 20 against New Zealand and Bangladesh, respectively
In both instances, his innings didn’t extend beyond 25 balls
As he gears up for the forthcoming game against Afghanistan, Brook doesn’t shy away from expressing his
disappointment regarding his contributions to the team’s performance
He calls for patience from fans and cricket enthusiasts,
emphasizing that he’s still in the process of adapting to the intricacies of this relatively unfamiliar format.
“Obviously I’ve had a couple of starts. It would have been nice if I’d gone on.
I’m very inexperienced in this format. It does make a big difference having not played it, I think
But yeah, hopefully I can pick it up fairly quickly, and if I get another go then try and make a big score,” Brook was quoted as saying by the Guardian.
